Hangzhou Foreign Languages School is a new bilingual school located in Hangzhou, China. It follows the Chinese National Curriculum through middle school with all students participating in a dual language, international based curriculum at the secondary level. The language of instruction at the secondary level for the majority of courses is English. According to our educational philosophy and position requirements, we are looking for the ideal candidate meeting the following:
1. Basic requirements:
Be fond of China as well as Chinese culture and tradition;
Be proficient in teaching IGCSE and A-Level (or IBDP) with at least two years of teaching experience;
Possess an undergraduate degree and subject area teacher certification/licensure from home country;
Be an enthusiastic and ambitious individual able to adapt to a different culture.
Graduate degree: Masters or above;
Prior overseas experience.
50 (particularly outstanding individuals over 50 will be considered).

1. To teach students in their assigned group according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the students in school and elsewhere.
2. To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned students and keep such records as required by the school’s systems.

Recruitment & Selection Process
1. At HFLS, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect that all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
