Are you interested in an experienced Teacher for a long-term commitment? Are you looking for someone who will love teaching, and wants to do his best to help his students learn English and any other subject he is asked to teach? Are you looking for someone to not only teach your students, but also love them, care about their lives, and one who will take an active interest in their goals, dreams, and hopes for the future? Further, are you a Christian School that is having a hard and difficult time finding committed Christian Teachers, especially in Japan? If so, please keep reading.

My Name is Jason Lovelace. For the past ten years (since September 1st, 1998), I have been teaching, working, and living in Japan. I have taught every age from 0 to 80s, and every ability level from basic beginner to high advanced. My experience is mostly with college-aged students, as I have been employed by two junior colleges over the last ten years (Japan Christian Junior College in Chiba City, and Asahikawa Medical University - School of Nursing in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido), but I do have experience teaching children. I hold a BA in History, a BA in Spanish, and a BA in Modern Languages, and am currently working on a Master's Degree (hopefully will be finished by the end of March next year). I am TEFL and TEFL-C certified, and have almost fifteen years' experience as a teacher of EFL/ESL. My wife, Reina, is an accomplished Concert Pianist, Piano/Music Theory and Childrens' English Teacher, with over fifteen years' experience. My wife and I are Christians, and while it would be wonderful to teach in a Christ-centered and Christ-based school, any school that has a need for teachers is welcome to contact us.

My wife and I would like to stay in Japan, if that is possible, as we have both come to love Japan and Japanese people. However, we are not opposed to teaching, working, and living in Korea. I have taught in Four Summer English Camps in Cheonan City (2005, 2006 [2 camps], and 2007), and have found Korea to be a wonderful setting and a wonderful place to teach and live, as well. I prefer college-aged students to teach, but am open to all other ages, especially high school or junior high school students.

If you are seeking an experienced teacher, one who loves teaching, and one who will do his best to teach, please feel free to contact by e-mail, by postal mail, or by telephone/fax. I must let any prospective schools know that I am under contract until March 31st, 2009, and am not available until either March or April. Further, my wife and I are looking for a place where we can serve long term. If you are looking for a short-term commitment, then we are not the people for you. However, if you and your school are looking for someone with which to work long-term, someone to partner with, really, please do contact us (especially if your school is a Christian School, we are most interested). We have faced and experienced much disappointment in recent days, so we are looking to move and make a fresh start, but, again, we would like something long-term, even if we must undergo a probationary period.

If you have read all the way to the bottom of this resume post, then, you must really be interested! =] =] Please, if you are interested in a long-term teacher, with a heart that is geared towards teaching, a teacher who loves his students, classes, and teaching, feel free to contact me. I am available to come to you for an interview in October (if in Korea, I will personally be in Seoul and Cheonan City from October 9th through the 20th [though, October 11th, 12th, and 17th, I have pre-scheduled appointments]) and November in 2008, and mid-January through to the second week of March, 2009.

Thank you very much for your time! May God bless you and thank you, again, for taking the time to read this posted resume.

Sincerely,

Jason Lovelace
