100 means one-hundred, so it can't be pluralized, unless you mean the reoccurrence of the number 100.  Spell out the word instead: "Hundreds of people went to the play," not "100s of people went to the play."  Note that it is best to not use an apostrophe when pluralizing any number, such as in "The telephone number had four 3's."  "3s" is better because the apostrophe is already used to indicated possession.
